ABOUT ED

 Born on September 11th, 1978, Ed grew up in St. Rose, Louisiana. Ed was a standout athlete at Destrehan High School where he played football, basketball, baseball and track & field. His senior year he was selected as an all-state defensive back and kick returner for the Fighting Wildcats football team. He received an athletic scholarship to the University of Miami.

Ed graduated in 2001 with a bachelor’s degree in liberal arts. He was inducted into the University of Miami Sports Hall of Fame in 2012 and the College Football Hall of Fame in 2018.

Drafted in the first round in 2002 by the Ravens as the 24th overall pick, Reed spent 11 seasons with Baltimore including 2012 Super Bowl Championship. He played with the Houston Texans and the New York Jets before signing a one-day contract with the Ravens retiring on May 7, 2015.
